Carol Redman Ouellette, widow of Kenneth Ouellette, of Bristol passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 26 at Bristol Hospital, after a brief illness. Carol was born on January 28, 1952, the daughter of the late Arthur R. Redman, Sr. and Ellen (Bida) Redman. She was educated in Bristol schools, and was a 1970 graduate of Bristol Central High School. Up until her retirement in October, 2019, she was an Administrative Assistant for T. J. Maxx. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, and will be greatly missed by all. Prior to her illness, Carol enjoyed cooking and baking, and spending time with family and friends. She loved shopping with her nieces and also loved watching cooking shows in her pajamas. Carol is survived by her brothers; Arthur R. Redman, Jr. and his wife Linda, of Bristol, Keith Redman, of Lisbon, and Mark Redman and his wife Cindy, of Terryville; her sisters; Cele Czajkowski, of Terryville; Ruth Redman and her husband Walter Lewandoski of Bristol, and Rachel Redman, of Bristol; and a very special sister-in-law Beverly Redman. In addition to her brothers and sisters, Carol is survived by several nieces and nephews. She had a special bond with her nephews Dr. Jason Redman, and U. S. Army Master Sgt. Ben McDonald; and her nieces; Brittany, Mikayla, and Ashlee Lewandoski, and Jenna Redman. In addition to her parents and husband, Carol is predeceased by her sister Linda McDonald, and brother Paul Redman. The family wishes to acknowledge the doctors and nurses at Bristol Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, as well as the staff of Beekley Center for Breast Health and Wellness for treating Carol with dignity and compassion during her illness. To honor Carol’s request, there are no calling hours or services, however a celebration of her life for family and friends will occur at a later date. DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made in Carol’s name to Beekley Center for Breast Health and Wellness, 41 Brewster Rd., Bristol, CT 06010.
